The course is designed to equip industries with the basic information that can most certainly help empower them with essential innovations to thrive by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. It covers the diverse family of sustainable plastic materials, namely bio-based and biodegradable plastics, and sourcing and end-of-life considerations for bio-based and biodegradable plastics. In addition, the course examines streamlined life cycle assessments to better understand the trade-offs between various environmental impact categories. It also explores the standards and certifications that are relevant to bioplastics marketing claims.
